How much do piercings cost at Platinum Tattoos & Piercings?+
Piercing service fees range from $25-$55 depending on the piercing. Jewelry is sold separately and starts around $30-40 for implant-grade titanium.
Do you do walk-ins for tattoos?+
Walk-ins are always welcome for smaller pieces and flash designs. For larger custom work, we recommend booking a consultation first.
How old do you have to be to get a piercing or tattoo?+
For tattoos, you must be 18 — Texas law. Minors can get pierced with a parent or legal guardian present with matching photo ID and birth certificate.
What's your sterilization process?+
Everything is autoclaved (steam sterilized). We use single-use needles, disposable gloves, and individually packaged sterile equipment for every client.
How do I take care of a new piercing?+
Spray sterile saline twice a day. Don't touch it, don't twist it. No alcohol, peroxide, or Bactine. Healing times vary by piercing.
What tattoo styles do your artists specialize in?+
Our 7 artists cover traditional, neo-traditional, realism, black and grey, color, fine line, Japanese, lettering, and cover-ups.
Do you do ear piercings for kids and babies?+
Yes — kids 6 months and up. We use needles only (never guns). Infant piercings are by appointment with our specialist piercer.
How do I book a tattoo consultation?+
Book online, call (210) 682-5239, or walk in. Consultations are free.
Do you use piercing guns?+
Never. We only use single-use sterile needles for every piercing, including kids' ears. Needles are safer, cleaner, and heal better.
What areas do you serve?+
Located at 5545 NW Loop 410 in San Antonio. Walk-ins welcome, or book ahead to secure your spot. Right off the highway with plenty of free parking.
Do you offer cover-up tattoos?+
Yes, several of our artists specialize in cover-ups. Come in for a free consultation so we can see the existing tattoo and discuss options.
What should I do before my appointment?+
Eat a good meal, stay hydrated, get decent sleep. Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for 24 hours. Bring your ID.
