Platinum Body Piercings
Use sterile wound wash (0.9% sodium chloride) 2× daily. Spray directly on the piercing, let it air dry. No need to rotate or move the jewelry — that's an old myth.
Recommended: NeilMed Wound Wash (available your local studio)
Hands carry bacteria. Only touch your piercing when cleaning, and wash your hands first. Don't twist, turn, or play with it.
Avoid alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Bactine, or iodine — they irritate tissue and slow healing. Saline only.
Use a travel pillow or put a clean pillowcase over your regular pillow (turned inside out). Avoid sleeping directly on a fresh ear piercing.
Be careful with clothing, hair, and accessories that could catch the jewelry. Even minor trauma extends healing time significantly.
Patience is everything. The piercing may feel fine before it's fully healed.
